As of recently there has been an increase in entrepreneurship studies being taught
on college campuses, these colleges have been promoting entrepreneurships in
education. This may be in part because it is becoming a much more complex
area to delve into.
Do to increased costs in higher education it is been speculated whether or not
entrepreneurship can be effectively taught in the classroom for the price it
costs. Also, money aside, some people think that entrepreneurship cannot
be taught. "An entrepreneur is a kind of genius born, not made." It
is about having guts, which is something that cannot be taught. All things
considered, the ability to have passion about your business and that industry
is what it really what it is all about.
The effectiveness of education is something that is being studied more and more. Research
shows that five years after graduation for entrepreneur majors and MBAs, those
who concentrated in education, earn an average of $72,000 which is 27% higher
than for business majors and students with standard MBAs. Education can
also help guide those with the right spirit. Studies show that classes
can speed up the learning curve for those with the right stuff. Education
can help with ethical decisions and valuable lessons that reduce business failure(s). Basically,
there is more to stating a business than just understanding finance, accounting,
and marketing.
