Businesses Can Act Bigger Than They Are

There are many ways you can have a small business look larger than it is. The
first and most crucial of them is having a good website. Not having a good
website implies that you don't have the time or the money to build one while
in all actuality it is perhaps the cheapest and easiest way to get out the word
about your company. Registering a domain name can cost under $8.00 a year,
and with a little delving into the thousands of hosts, you can usually find a
free one without ads (they usually don't have that much space, but a simple html
file is only a couple kilobytes if that.) If you have products for sale,
there are free open source online shopping templates that you can sell your products
to a huge community. Then make sure you get your products distributed to
product search engines like Froogle and the yahoo market place. Also placing
links on other sites will increase your search engine ratings.
Once you have good internet publicity, you need to have your products or services
catch the media's eye. If you can get a product featured as "cutting
edge" or simply as different then what is on market today, your company
will get free advertising that is more productive than the paid form that lasts
30 seconds or less. If you still think you need paid ads, Google's "adsense" is
probably the best place to start because it lets you only target a very specific
customer.
